In 1987, Gianni Brunelli bought back his father's property Le Chiuse di Sotto—his father had originally planted vines there in 1947. Gianni was also a well-regarded restaurateur (Osteria le Logge in Siena), where he met his wife Laura. Gianni passed away in 2008; Laura has run the estate since then. The estate farms approximately 6.5 hectares across two sites. "Amor Costante" means "Constant Love"—Gianni created this wine for Laura. It's 80% Merlot and 20% Sangiovese from Podernovone, planted in 1998 at 500-520 meters elevation. Aged 24-30 months in French barriques and tonneaux.
