Domaine Jerome Chezeaux was founded by Bernard Chezeaux in 1971. Jerome joined in 1987 and now manages 11 hectares across 16 appellations in the Côte de Nuits. His traditional approach respects the environment while prioritizing terroir expression. Aux Boudots is one of the northernmost Premier Cru climats in Nuits-Saint-Georges, located at the juncture where Nuits borders Vosne-Romanée. Jerome owns 0.34 hectares on an east-facing slope with limestone and marl soils. Stylistically, Aux Boudots lies between Vosne and Nuits, expressing a unique, singular character—known for soft, perfumed bouquet with blackcurrants and wild blackberries. Winemaking includes 3-4 day cold maceration, three-week cuvaison, and 30% new oak. The 2022 vintage was the hottest in recent history but successfully balanced—75% more volume without sacrificing quality. Tannins are delicate, contributing to early approachability. The most tender and elegant wine in the Chezeaux lineup.

What importer Rosenthal Wine Merchant has to say about this wine...

Always a standout in Chezeaux’s cellar, Aux Boudots is perched at the northern limit of Nuits-Saint-Georges, on the border of Vosne-Romanée. As one might expect given its location, this wine combines classically Nuits-Saint-Georges iron and sous-bois with fruit a bit more caressing and Vosne-Romanée-like than its more southerly situated counterparts. Chezeaux owns a very small 0.34-hectare parcel in this steeply sloping premier cru.
