Roussillon's hard work paying off, in a bottle that overdelivers wildly for what it costs. Marjorie Gallet's Le Roc des Anges embodies the spirit of the new Roussillon, farming ancient vineyards tucked between chalk-white limestone peaks and the Mediterranean in the Agly Valley. This white Effet Papillon is led by Grenache Blanc with a splash of Macabeu, grown on the region's windswept schist soils that lend freshness and a stony lift. The 2025 is a bright, easygoing summer white that drinks well above its station. One of the best southern French steals you'll find.
