Done in traditional champagne method and grown on the estate’s chalkiest soils.
Blend: 75% Chenin Blanc, 25% Chardonnay
Vine Age: Planted in 1990
Terroir: From the Clos du Château, soils of silty sand and clay with a depth of 60cm, on top of a softer Turonian limestone bedrock.
Viticulture: Organic methods since 2009
Vinification: Indigenous yeast fermentation, 12 months aging "sur-lattes."

More about Arnaud Lambert

Arnaud Lambert works with his father Yves, who founded Domaine de Saint-Just in Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg in 1996. In 2009 they took over the vineyards of the historic Château de Brézé, converting everything to organic farming (certified in 2012), and since 2017 the wines from both estates have carried Arnaud's name. Brézé's tuffeau, a porous chalky limestone, gives Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc of real tension and minerality, and the chalkiest parcels go into traditional-method Crémant. Saumur at its most precise.
