Soleyane Rouge Léger is the Apffels' lighter-footed red cuvée — 'léger' meaning light, and they mean it. This is Alpine red wine made for pure joy: barely-there tannins, brilliant fruit, and the kind of cooling freshness that makes it equally at home slightly chilled on a summer evening or alongside a weeknight roast. Camille and Mathieu farm in Savoie, and the cuvée is based on Mondeuse and Pinot Noir rather than the Gamay of Beaujolais. The result is vivid, low-alcohol, and completely refreshing.
