One of Ceretto's original wines, Asij was the family's first Barbaresco when brothers Bruno and Marcello, the 'Barolo Brothers,' began mapping Langhe's best sites in the 1960s. Sourced around Asili in Barbaresco, it's a more approachable, fragrant style of Nebbiolo, and this 1985 has had four decades to soften into full maturity. A great window into Piedmont's tertiary side. From a private collection, so condition varies; decant and drink soon.
