Antonio Galloni

88 points

"The 2015 Réserve de la Comtesse has a fresh, delineated bouquet of cedar-infused red fruit; undergrowth and humidor notes surface with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannin, and fresh and balanced though not overly complex. It just needs to manifest more nuance and personality on the finish to merit a higher score. This tasted better 12 months ago. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting." —Neal Martin

Robert Parker

88 points

"The medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Reserve de la Comtesse is a little tarry to begin, with red and black fruits, herbs and damp soil scents. Medium-bodied, firm, fresh and chewy in the mouth, it finishes a little green and herbal." —Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Jancis Robinson

16.5 points

"Tasted blind. Minty sweet. Nice and layered and zesty, with good drive. There is flesh here." —Jancis Robinson MW

Decanter

92 points

"Right from the first minute, this is cedar-scented, welcoming and super attractive. Restrained but full of vibrancy and life, very good quality. 39hl/ha yield. 40% new oak. 3% Petit Verdot completes the blend."

Wine Enthusiast

93 points

"Barrel Sample. There are plenty of tannins here along with fresh black currant fruits. This wine is structured and firm in the style of a Pauillac. But it also has a softer side, with elegance and light. This wine will develop relatively quickly over the next 10 years." —Roger Voss
