Antonio Galloni

"The 2023 Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard entices with a dark floral presence as lavender and crushed violets open the stage for citrus-infused raspberries. Velvety and elegant in style, it reveals depths of ripe red and blue fruits riding a stream of cooling acidity. Fine-grained tannins add youthful poise as the 2023 tapers off with impressive balance." —Eric Guido

Robert Parker

93 points

"The 2023 Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard was fermented with 45% whole clusters and matured for 18 months in 32% new French oak. It floods the senses with wild cherry, pomegranate, flint, cured meats and pipe tobacco aromas. The medium-bodied palate is powerfully styled with concentrated, savory flavors and chalky tannins. It’s balanced by refreshing acidity and has a long, layered finish. 808 cases were made." —Erin Brooks

Decanter

97 points

"Red-fruited and ethereally floral, with mint leaves, pine sap, ocean air and taut red berries all leaping from the glass. An underlying savoury character from the 45% whole-cluster element lifts red fruits, turning to blue fruits and forest floor. This site cools in the afternoon, protected from the sun by the forest and the steep slope, which keeps plenty of freshness and frames its ageability and elegance."

Wine Spectator

94 points

"Keenly structured and detailed, showing handsome flavors of raspberry and blueberry highlighted by black tea and forest floor tones as this builds tension and richness toward refined tannins."

More about Cristom

Founder and owner Paul Gerrie has used his skills as an engineer and avid researcher to pursue his passion for wine. On his travels to France, he was introduced to and embraced the traditional growing practices of Burgundy which he now instills in his own wines. Use of whole cluster and native yeast fermentation allows for the fruit and land to truly express themselves and Cristom has also farmed sustainably since 1992.
