Robert Parker

93 points

"Disgorged in July 2024 with a dosage of 1.1 grams per liter—Dehours’s NV Extra-Brut Terre de Meunier is predominantly based on the 2021 vintage, with 16% reserve wines from 2019. Primarily vinified in stainless steel, it delivers a fragrant bouquet of nashi pear, cherry, honeysuckle and white peach. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and concentrated yet taut and incisive, with a vivid core of fruit, mouthwatering acidity and a sapid finish. Excluding his most successful single-parcel bottlings, this may be Dehours’s most harmonious non-vintage cuvée this year." —Kristaps Karklins

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
