Division Winemaking Company, based in Portland, was founded in 2010 to explore Loire and Beaujolais styles in Oregon. “Lutte” is their Willamette Valley Gamay, sourced from organically farmed sites.

The 2023 vintage was fermented with native yeasts, partly via carbonic maceration, and aged in stainless, concrete, and neutral oak. It’s light, fresh, and mineral, capturing Gamay’s lively character in a Pacific Northwest frame.

Antonio Galloni

90 points

"The 2023 Gamay Lutte wafts up with a peppery mix of rose petals, crushed violets, strawberries and wet stones. Soft and lifted on the palate, it offers bright red berry fruits and mineral tones. Juicy acidity maintains fantastic energy as this tapers off gracefully and pure with a wild berry tinge that fades slowly." —Eric Guido
