In Monthelie, white wine is the exception, not the rule—over 85% of production is red, which means finding a great Blanc here feels like discovering a secret. Lighter and more delicate than Meursault, Lafon's white grows at higher elevation in iron-rich soils that give it a distinctive mineral spine. Expect sweet orchard apples, hazelnuts, and white flower aromatics alongside a crisp finish. It's Meursault's elegant cousin, and a steal at the price.
