The youngest and most charming vintage of this rare Grand Cru vertical. Domaine Poisot's Romanee-Saint-Vivant grows in the southwest corner of the climat, feet from Romanee-Conti, from vines descended from Louis Latour's estate and made by Remi Poisot since 2010. RSV is the most perfumed and graceful of Vosne's great climats. The generous 2017 vintage brought a healthy crop and charming, accessible wines with early appeal, making this the most approachable bottle of the run.

"Here too there is just enough wood to remark upon framing the very spicy aromas of sandalwood, Asian-style tea, dark cherry, violet and a hint of cassis. There is very good punch to the nicely detailed lighter weight flavors that possess reasonably good complexity though the length is frankly a bit short. This is classy and certainly pretty but it doesn’t have the requisite density to be first-rate." —Allen Meadows
