Domaine Henry Fuchs is a small organic estate in Ribeauville, in the heart of Alsace, now run by fourth-generation Paul Fuchs on limestone-and-marl soils. This is a classic Alsatian blend of Pinot Blanc with some Auxerrois, sourced from older vines, hand-harvested, whole-bunch pressed and fermented with native yeasts. It's the workhorse white of Alsace: easygoing, gently fruity, and endlessly food-friendly, with just enough acidity to keep it lively. The 2024 is fresh and ready to drink. Serve it chilled as a versatile everyday white.

More about Henry Fuchs

The Fuchs family took up viticulture in 1922, and Paul (fourth generation) flipped the switch to organic in the mid-2000s. His ten-and-a-half-hectare Alsace domain spans Ribeauvillé, Hunawihr, and Bergheim in marl-limestone terroir. He's making dry, rich Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris that taste like the foothills of the Vosges actually matter.
