Jean-Philippe Fichet's Bourgogne Blanc is one of white Burgundy's great over-performers, and this is the upgraded version. A master of Meursault, Fichet draws this wine from parcels in and around his home village, so it tastes like a baby Meursault at a fraction of the cost. This Vieilles Vignes (old vines) bottling adds depth and concentration from older plantings, given the same patient 18-month elevage in mostly used oak and tank that defines his cellar. Very little lees stirring keeps it racy and pure. The 2024 vintage delivers freshness and clarity. If you love white Burgundy and value, this is exactly the bottle to buy by the case.
