If Jean-Philippe Fichet has a flagship, it's Le Tesson. This Meursault master has spent his career chasing the soul of his village's lieux-dits, and Tesson is where it all comes together: similar mineral focus to his Chevalieres but with even more mid-palate weight and length, a wine that frequently surpasses other producers' premiers crus. He farms by hand, ages patiently for 18 months in mostly used wood and then tank, and stirs the lees very little, so the wine stays laser-focused and electric. The 2024 is fresh and precise. This is serious Meursault built for the cellar, the bottle to lay down and reward in a few years.
