If Heiligenstein is Kamptal's temple for Riesling, the Käferberg is its answer for Grüner Veltliner — a warm, wind-swept premier cru (Erste Lage) whose old vines root deep into dark amphibolite rock. That stone is the signature here: it pushes a real salty, savory tension through the wine that you simply don't find in the entry bottlings. Jurtschitsch farms biodynamically and lets the fruit ferment wild, so this reads as a site rather than a recipe. Expect Grüner with grip, depth, and the kind of stony cut that rewards a few years in the cellar. One of the reference-point Grüners of the region, and priced far below the fame it deserves.

The palate is smooth and elongated, edged with lemon zest and a lovely pithiness that adds salt.
