A classic Vin Jaune from Jura's Jacques Puffeney lineage, aged six years under flor yeast (sous voile) in century-old barrels. Gahier acquired these legendary casks and their yeast mother from Puffeney himself, preserving a tangible connection to one of the region's defining styles. Nutty, spicy, complex—with the concentration, length, and delicate nuance that makes Jura's oxidative wines cult objects.

Flatiron's Take

From the Importer

What Rosenthal Wine Merchant has to say about this wine:

Gahier’s Vin Jaune is a tour de force. Selected from his finest plots of Savagnin, the wine ages “sous voile” in old oak barrels for around seven years before bottling. Gahier believes the best of his Vins Jaunes need twenty years to develop fully and surely at least ten years in bottle.
