Don't let the name fool you — Perry Colin isn't a Burgundian project. It's a brand-new Oregon Chardonnay label launched in 2024 by Matt Perry and Simon Colin, working exclusively with organically, biodynamically, and regeneratively farmed Willamette Valley vineyards. Tsai Vineyard sits in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA in Gaston, on a south-facing slope between roughly 250 and 500 feet — the kind of site that delivers ripeness with tension. The wine is flinty, mineral-driven, and gently tropical, with real cut and length. A debut Chardonnay project worth paying attention to from two winemakers betting big on farming and place.
