"Disgorged in November 2024 with a dosage of one gram per liter, Paillard's NV Bouzy Grand Cru Les Parcelles XIX is based on the 2019 vintage, complemented by 30% reserve wines from 2018 to 2016. A blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay sourced from south-facing slopes and vinified in 350-liter barrels, it unfurls from the glass with aromas of tangerine zest, grapefruit and nectarine, mingling with brioche and spices. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied and concentrated, with a rich core of fruit underpinned by vibrant acidity, concluding with a chalky finish. This is a fine introduction to the estate, based on a terrific vintage. As always, it derives from some 25 plots in Bouzy." —Kristaps Karklins

"From the 2019 vintage-based edition, Pailllard’s popular entry-level wine will now be fermented entirely in second-use small oak barrels. 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay from Bouzy, full of outgoing fruit – red apples, cherry, stone fruit – with some green almond, anise and gentle spiciness. Les Parcelles has enough structure and crusty-bread richness for the table, but retains a refreshing lightness of touch given the village, vintage and the oak usage."
