High-elevation Yakima Valley meets Bordeaux varieties in Pollard’s thoughtful blend. Despite the label, this isn’t pure Cabernet Sauvignon—it’s 50% Cabernet Franc, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 25% Merlot from carefully selected French clones on a 10-acre estate at 1,150 feet. Former Washington State Wine Commission director Robin Pollard partnered with Chris Camarda of Andrew Will Cellars to develop this cool-climate site, where structure and acidity offer an intriguing counterpoint to California’s warmer profile.

What Bowler Wine has to say about this wine:

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Robin Pollard's estate vineyard, located near Zillah in the Yakima Valley. Of the 10-acres planted, roughly 2-acres are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon. Soils are sandy loam over limestone. The wine was fermented with ambient yeasts and matured for 18-months before bottling in 20% new French oak. 14.3% abv.
