Robert Biale’s Party Line Zinfandel comes from a collaborative blend of family-owned vineyards in Napa and Sonoma. The 2023 bottling emphasizes bright red and black fruit, delivering a lively and fruit-driven profile.

Fermented with native yeasts and aged briefly in neutral oak, it offers fresh acidity, soft tannins, and easy drinkability. This entry-level Zinfandel showcases varietal character with casual charm—a perfect wine for immediate enjoyment.

Robert Parker

88 points

"Since 2017, Biale has sourced fruit from Solano, Lake and Contra Costa Counties for this wine, which, according to winemaker David Natali, may also contain some Sonoma County fruit. The 2023 Zinfandel Party Line spent 10 months in French oak, 15% new, emerging to reveal pretty strawberry and raspberry nuances on the nose. It's a medium- to full-bodied, silky, uncomplicated, fruit-forward quaff that's just plain fun to drink." —Joe Czerwinski

Wine Spectator

92 points

"Fruit-forward and generous, with snappy cherry, roasted sage and cracked pepper flavors that end on a vibrant accent."

More about Robert Biale

Robert Biale went from Beringer to his family's Napa vineyard to founding this winery in 1991 with his dad Aldo's blessing. The estate specializes in Zinfandel from old vines dating back to 1891, making 17 different bottlings from the Black Chicken vineyard and the famous Party Line single-vineyard releases. The Biale family has been farming Napa for decades, and it shows—these are old-vine expressions that taste less like wine and more like earth memory. Serious, soulful Zin.
