Vignai da Duline follows Masanobu Fukuoka's radical natural agriculture philosophy into the cellar: all labor occurs in the vineyard; the cellar merely transforms. Lorenzo Mocchiutti and Federica Magrini inherited vines, expanded thoughtfully, then rejected modern industrialized agriculture entirely. No trimming shoots—allowing natural equilibrium. No herbicides—nature self-regulates. Erba medica (alfalfa) colonizes vineyard rows, aerating soil while adding organic matter without tilling or chemicals. This philosophy pervades everything: 50-year-old Malvasia Istriana vines never touched by chemicals for 40+ years, spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels with indigenous yeasts, minimal sulfur, no fining, no filtration. The 2024 vintage emphasizes freshness and aromatic complexity—vibrant acidity, fruit purity emerging as sage, aromatic herbs, lime, fresh citrus, ripe tropical fruit, apricot, quince, hints of lime leaf and ginger. This is wine as philosophy: singular, authentic, radically natural, expressing Istria's Mediterranean soul through human restraint and vine equilibrium.
