October 29: Kopke, the World's Oldest Port House
is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Kopke is the world's oldest Port house, tracing its lineage to 1638. In this rare deep dive on Port, Kopke's USA sales manager, Michael Kirstein, will take us through a tasting of the house's range of decadent bottlings. Join us on Thursday, October 29 at 6pm on the mezzanine.
As the world’s oldest Port house, Kopke is the global benchmark for barrel-aged Port. The house is especially known for old Colheitas—single-vintage Tawnies and rare Whites—which serve as liquid time capsules of rich, nutty complexity and vibrant acidity.
About the Speaker: Kopke USA Sales Manager Michael Kirstein happily sipped his first Tawny Colheita 1963 over 30 years ago. Today, he brings global wine industry experience along with the WSET Diploma in Wines & Spirits to explain how these unique wines are created.
Seating is limited. Tickets for this class are $30 and come with a $20 gift card.
