11/19: Thanksgiving Picks with Ellen
is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Thanksgiving is the hardest meal of the year to pair: turkey, cranberry, stuffing, sweet potatoes, and a dozen sides all land on the table at once. Join Ellen Sarembaud, our outstanding sommelier and WSET Level 3 holder, on Thursday, November 19 at 6pm on the mezzanine for an evening of tasting and conversation to take the guesswork out of choosing what to pour.
We’ll start with the basics of food and wine pairing, covering acidity, tannin, sweetness, and how to match a bottle to a whole table rather than a single dish. Then we’ll taste eight wines—four reds and four whites—chosen for the holiday spread. In each color, two are classic pairings (Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc among the reds, Pinot Blanc and Chenin Blanc among the whites), and two are more unexpected bottles that work just as well and might become your new tradition.
You’ll leave with eight wines to consider for your own table and the confidence to choose with ease.
Cancellations can be processed for a refund with at least 48 hours' notice before the start of class. See all our policies here.
