What is this wine?
Domaine Roulot, led by Jean-Marc Roulot, is among the most revered producers of white Burgundy, known for precision, elegance, and terroir expression. À Mon Plaisir Clos du Haut Tesson is a monopole parcel within the highly regarded Hauts Tesson lieu-dit in Meursault. Though classified as a village-level wine, the site and Roulot’s meticulous craftsmanship elevate it to premier cru quality. The 2022 vintage produced balanced, vibrant wines with purity of fruit and crystalline structure.

Why get this wine?
Roulot’s wines are some of the most sought-after in Burgundy, with allocations vanishing instantly. This bottling is particularly special: a monopole vineyard of superb terroir, vinified by one of the greatest Chardonnay producers alive. For collectors or connoisseurs, it represents rare access to Roulot’s artistry outside the domaine’s tiny holdings of premier and grand crus.

What does this wine taste like?
Tense and refined, with citrus, pear, and white peach wrapped around chalky minerality. Subtle hazelnut and delicate spice from fine oak lend depth, while the finish is long, saline, and pure.

When should you drink this wine?
Already compelling young, though best from 2026 onward as it gains layers of complexity. Will cellar gracefully for 10+ years. Ideal with fine seafood, roast chicken, or creamy vegetable dishes. Consider a brief decant if opened in its youth.

Jancis Robinson

"Cask sample. Mid-pale lemon. Closed nose but with a touch of leesy richness in the aromas. Richer weight and texture on the palate. Ripe apple and pear, dressed in lime. Volume really rises on the finish, but dry, dry, dry - almost painfully so. Saline, chalky minerality. Fine length."

More about Domaine Roulot

The name Roulot is now a synonym for the very best wine that the village of Meursault can offer. It is rather remarkable when you consider that just 2 generations back the Roulot's were known as producers of Burgundian brandy and eau de vie. But Guy Roulot began leveraging the family's distilling success to purchase small plots of vines in Meursault and by the 1970's was known as a pioneer for producing top quality chardonnay from distinct parcels or ""lieu-dits"".

When Guy passed away unexpectedly in the early '80's his son Jean-Marc was pursuing acting in Paris. In 1989 he returned to take on the reigns of the small Domaine and in the following decades built on his fathers success so well that the wines are now extremely hard to acquire and to afford for most of us.
