Your Summer Starts Now, With Peyrassol

The arrival of rosé from the Commanderie de Peyrassol is always a sure sign that summer in NYC is upon us.

The days are longer and the parks are now full of New Yorkers taking advantage of the oh-so glorious "Summer Friday". And there's no better way to kick off that summer Fridays than with a crisp and refreshing bottle (or two!) of Peyrassol's Cuvée des Commandeurs Rose!

For years the Commanderie's flagship Côtes de Provence has been a customer and staff favorite alike — "our little secret" — something light and crisp that we can all count on to help get us through the dog days of summer.

But now, the secret's out.

Countless articles, penned by the likes of Eric Asimov and other top critics, sing the praises of this quintessential summer sipper (rightfully so, it's delicious!), and have made it increasingly difficult to keep in stock.

Fortunately, we were able to lock up quite a bit of it this year, so this is your chance to stock up for the summer.

Cuvée des Commandeurs is energetic and fresh. It's bursting with notes of wild berries, all centered around a delicate, but present saline minerality.

The fruit — Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, and a tiny bit of Rolle (the local name for Vermentino) — is sourced mostly from estate vineyards with a small amount coming from a group of trusted growers with whom the Commanderie has long-standing relationships.

Founded in 1256 by the Knights Templar and having made wine every vintage since, it's no wonder the wines are so exceptional — they've had a lot of practice! Today, Peyrassol continues to operate, organically, in the limestone hills above St. Tropez, making wine recognized the world over for its quality and downright deliciousness.

Be sure to take advantage and stock up on this summer classic today!
