Corton is the only red Grand Cru in the Cote de Beaune, and this bottling gives you a taste of those famous slopes from Domaine Rapet, the organically farmed Pernand-Vergelesses estate with roots back to 1765. This village-of-origin Corton draws on the Grand Cru hillside's limestone soils to produce Pinot Noir of genuine structure and depth. The 2012 was a small but excellent Burgundy vintage, and at over a decade old this is moving into a mature, harmonious window. Decant and enjoy now or hold a few more years.
